Your generous contribution to Long Shadows Charitable Foundation (LSCF) supports the rescuing and rehabilitation of horses who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or are no longer wanted or cared for by their owners. As good stewards of your donations, we follow clear guidelines in processing your gifts and promise that 100% of your gift will go directly towards feed, care, rehabilitation and training of our rescued equines. Your donation ensures our ability to continue to provide rescue, rehabilitation and sanctuary services to our horse residents here at Long Shadows.
Gift Policy Standards
All donations to Long Shadows Charitable Foundation (LSCF) support the Long Shadows mission of providing malnourished, severely ill, starved and/or Auction/Kill Pen horses with the promise that “Every Horse Deserves Hope for Tomorrow.”
We will carefully consider the needs of each rescue horse and will use your gift where we determine it is most needed. When processing each gift, we will follow the Donor’s Bill of Rights and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Donation Processing
JustHost provides Long Shadows Charitable Foundation (LSCF) with website hosting services and PayPal along with Braintree handles credit/debit card donations on our behalf.
If we, Long Shadows Charitable Foundation (LSCF) have reason to believe our donation system has been compromised we will notify any donors involved in the breech and our card processors to rectify the situation for our donor(s) and to maintain our “A” Rating with PCI Compliance.
Donation Refund Policy
For donations made using the LongShadowsHorses.org website, if you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to Long Shadows, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation.
To request a refund, call 518-928-6161. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
